Interlok is an issue that is greatly being debated now. The author Datuk Abdullah Hussain is a well respected literary figure and also a national laureate and a very distinguished and talented writer and I’m certain his work is a matter of perception and imagination which is the cornerstone of any great literary work.
After perusing the book I found many positives, the language was succinct and the description of life in the pre independence era was charming. The plot too was very heart wrenching and shows the struggles of a young nation on its way to independence.
However certain parts of the books might not be suitable for young minds who would have a problem with distinguishing fact from fiction and history and “His”(author) story.
For this reason, I agree with the opinion presented by the special committee who represented MIC who met the Deputy Education Minister and also stand by the decision made by our Party President Dato' G Palanivel.
I would like to ask the government to devise a way where all parties can win, the children should be exposed to a great literacy work but not something that may induce them to misunderstand the rich past of our multi racial country.
I’m sure the Barisan Nasional government will address the issue in the true spirit of nation building which has led to our country being such a beacon of peace and tolerance.

MY REPLY TO SHOPPER'S SOLUTION

As a resident of Bukit Beruntung myself, I appreciate your effort on unravelling the issues of public transport, as you have done so on the route between Rawang-Batang Kali. I strongly believe, public transport issues should not be confined to urban areas such as KL and Penang, but also at other suburban areas like Rawang and Bukit Beruntung.
I dream of a day when I could click on the internet, check the schedule of bus from the nearest bus stop from my home at Jalan Anggerik, and can figure out the interconnection of buses, commuters for me to get to KLCC.
I dream of a day when after looking at the schedule, all the services are not delayed by more than 15 minutes, and can arrive safely at my destination with minimal effects from the rainy weather.
I wish these dreams, not only from mine, probably from many others, can be relayed by my MP, to the parliament.
Thanks!

Dear Shopper's Solution,
I thank you very much for visiting my blog and most importantly leaving a comment and your suggestions.
I have been thinking of this bus ride for some time and for me it is very important that this very important public transport system should be in order, we may not have a perfect system, but at least a system which is reasonable and convenient.
When I was looking for an office space to open my Service Centre, one of the most important priority was that, it has to be near a bus stop - so that all a person need to do is to take a bus from anywhere in Hulu Selangor and they can reach my office and off course the other factor which was important for the office was that, it has to be disable people and senior citizen friendly.
I will continue to make more bus rides from various destinations within Hulu Selangor and not only that, I would also be taking a ride on the train soon and to see how effective is the feeder bus services.
In the meantime, once again I would like to thank you for your suggestions and I would raise the suggestions that you have brought up in the Parliament. Also, I would be informing via my Tweet and Facebook a meeting with Hulu Selangor residents to give inputs on matters pertaining to our neighborhood and I do hope you would be able to join us on that day.
THANK YOU & GOD BLESS YOU.
