I am indeed very excited and can't wait for the month of June 2011 to arrive. There are many reason for me to wait for the month of June 2011, but, this one reason I have to share with all of you;
THE BERNAM AIR FESTIVAL 2011
Bernam River Airfield is the largest and the only private airpark in Malaysia.
Bernam Air Festival (BAF) would be the largest general aviation airshow in Malaysia and South East Asia with more than 100 aircrafts and 150 classic and vintage cars are expected to partake in this festival. Besides that, aerobatics static displays, joyrides, car races and many other activities would also be displayed during the 4 day festival.
The Bernam Air Festival would be held at Ulu Bernam area, which is nearby Ladang 15 & Ladang SKC Jaya, or the be more specific it would be held at : N03 45’ 58.3” E101 19’ 38.4”.
The Objective in organizing this Air Festival is to promote general aviation to the public, to garner aviation interest among young children and last but not least to help promote tourism in Hulu Selangor and the state of Selangor.
The Bernam Air Festival would begin from the 2nd June 2011 till 5th June 2011.
The Event Programme on the 2nd & 3rd June would be for trade only. During the 1st 2 days the festival is only opened to aviators and car companies. However, on the 4th & 5th June the festival is opened for the public, besides being able to watch Aerobatics, visitors would also be able to witness car races, static displays, wheel changing contest, aircraft pulling contest, joyrides, best aircraft and car contest, car v plane race and many other exciting events.
